NZMP wins Good Energy Award from Premier Nutrition

Each Year Premier Nutrition awards three Partners of the Year; Builder, Bell Ringer and Good Energy.

At the 2018 Awards in June 2019, Fonterra's NZMP was granted the Good Energy Award through our efforts in making a positive impact on our communities. 

Premier Nutrition selected us because we believe that by giving back and improving how we operate, we can make a difference through the following areas:

Nutrition - Fonterra Milk for Schools helps more than 140,000 school kids get access to milk every day. This is the 5th year of the program which has delivered over 100M single serve milks to local children. Additionally, our Kick Start Breakfast program provides milk for more than 125,000 breakfasts every day. 

Environment - Established in association with the New Zealand Department of Conservation in 2013, the Living Water program is dedicated to supporting a healthy freshwater ecosystem. This involves work such as building sediment traps, fencing stream banks and planting native grasses to support water quantity and quality. 

Community - The Fonterra Grass Roots Fund supports local initiatives that help strengthen the communities, care for the environment and promote healthy lifestyles. In 2018, an estimated $1M from the fund was distributed to 696 community initiatives.
